Orange Dental is proud to say that we are in our 18th year of business serving South West Orlando. Some of our staff have been here since the same day we opened our doors. And many have been here for 5-10 years! We are a multi-provider office. Many general dentists and specialists all working closely to provide the best possible communication and care, under one roof. A second opinion is always a shout away! Our 10 operatory office can easily accomadate walk-in and same day treatments. Orange Dental is a one of a kind. We are a private office and we love to share our enthusiasm for dentistry every day! We speak many different languages too!

Our Office
We are 2500 square feet of blissful dental experiences. Our staff of 16 is always ready to make your next dental experience a life long treasured memory. WE are just regular people who each day want to be better than the next. If every office is like that.. then we are average but proud of our being average!! We have 10 dental chairs arranged in an open circle, which enhances communication and actually alleviates worries. We are located 5 miles south of the Florida Mall on Orange Blossom Trail. Just look for the intersection of Weatherbea and Orange Blossom trail and you will find the South Chase Shopping Village. We are conveniently sandwhiched between CVS and Haircuttery!! Tons and tons of parking is always available. It is very easy to drop your loved ones off too, right in front!

Our Doctors
Dr. Steven Baxter
Undergraduate training at Yale University (New Haven, CT; Bachelor of Science in Molecular Biophysics and Biochemistry, 1976), Dental School at Columbia University (New York, NY; DDS, 1985), Three years Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery training at University of Michigan (Ann Arbor, MI; 1988.) Practiced in Columbus, Ohio for several years. Have been practicing in Florida since 1996. Married to Patricia, and have three children; two now in college and the third in high school. We love Disney, just wish we had more time to enjoy it.
Dr. Joseph A. Shrager
I wasn't always a dentist, but I think I always wanted to be one. My Dental School training was at the University of Pittsburgh (Pittsburgh, PA; DMD, 1997). Following my degree I participated in a one year advanced (optional) residency training in more detailed and higher-level aspects of general dentistry at the University of Florida College of Dentistry (Jacksonville, FL; GPR, 1998) And prior to my dental experience, thinking I might pursue a career in psychology I completed a Masters Degree in Phenomenological Psychology at Duquesne University (Pittsburgh, PA; MA, 1992). Psychology and Philosophy are my main hobbies and fascinations.
My father is a Psychiatrist... so thoughts and ideas pursuant to good health have always been with me as far as I can remember. In all sincerity I am a chicken myself at the dentist office. Nobody believes me. So including my love for psychology in my job may be a plus for everyone... even me!! And if that doesn't work I can sing a favorite "Mr. Rogers" song. I have never questioned or doubted my decision to become a dentist. This field has taxed every part of my being... mind, spirit and body. And what an amazing workout?! I'll never - never complain. I go home at night and through daily exhaustion, can barely read to my kids, but I never have regret. Every day I spend with my wonderful family of staff and doctors and beautiful patients... is a day that I grow, and become a better person, and when I go home each night I have something more to give all those I surround myself with, each day.
This is my vision for our Orange Dental! And lastly and most importantly my most wonderful Wife, Dr. Alexis Shrager (Orange Dental's Orthodontist) and son Harry; 6 years and daughter Sophie who is two... through their love and support I can say that I have many many blessings to share with each and every person I encounter daily. So if I have not represented a person who is approachable and down-to-earth... you have my permission to come to the office anytime and hit me over the head!
